FAQ
What is the difference between jaggery and refined sugar?
A. Refined sugar is chemically processed and stripped of all nutrients. Jaggery is unrefined, retains all natural minerals like iron, calcium, magnesium, and potassium, and is far healthier as a sweetener.
Is this jaggery 100% organic?
A. Yes. Our sugarcane jaggery is made from organically grown sugarcane with no pesticides, no chemicals, no bleaching agents, and no artificial additives.
How is it made?
A. Fresh sugarcane is pressed to extract juice, which is then boiled and stirred continuously until it thickens and sets into solid jaggery — a completely natural, chemical-free process.
How much jaggery should I consume per day?
A. 10 to 15 grams per day (roughly 1 to 2 small pieces) is ideal. It is best consumed after meals to aid digestion.
Can diabetics eat jaggery?
A. Jaggery is slightly better than refined sugar, but still has a high glycemic index. Diabetics should consume it only in very small quantities and consult their doctor before doing so.
